 Character Sheet Approvals
« Thread Started on May 10, 2007, 4:30pm »

Comicfun! is a comic book board that prides itself in being character correct, all about comic books and disregards other forms of media.

We have been running successfully for well over a year now under that philosophy. So our board's continuity is now quiet different from comic book continuity. As a rule, we have tried to keep characters starting out where they are current in the comics at the time the member signs them up. An example would be if you sign up a villain and that villain is in jail, you have to start in jail. Then, they can move on with the role play from there.

This has started to cause some confusion with big story lines like DC's 52, and Marvel's Civil War. (Those being the biggest problems, but not limited to those issues) So, to try and help limit confusion, let me fill everyone in on how character sheets are approved.

We approve character sheets one at a time. If there is an issue with the content we try to get the details straightened out for comic correctness but still fitting on our board. People might have ways to work around these issues that we have not thought of, and we welcome ideas like that. In fact, we encourage you to give us your ideas. We try to get imput from the entire staff when an issue comes up with character sheets.

But please be mindful of several things. If you have an idea for character sheet approval issues, send us a personal message in a POLITE and thoughtful way. Our staff works hard to be fair, and professional when dealing with everyone, and all we do is ask that in return.
Condescending and/or argumentative replies over character sheet approvals will no longer be tolerated. Try not to take our answer personally, if you have a difference in opinion, state it. Give us a basis for it, please don't ARGUE it. We do not argue here. If we receive any argumentative or rude replies over sheet approvals, the sheet will simply be deleted. We won't try to work with you over it any longer.
Thank you.
